Hearing God's Voice

Are you hearing God's voice? Are you having a hard time distinguishing whether it's God's voice you hear? After you've finished your prayer time do you immediately jump up and start your day? Have you made decisions based upon what you thought was God and it wasn't? Have you made decisions because you wanted something so badly that you tried to find God in it to justify your actions? Sometimes it's hard to hear God's voice when we are preoccupied. If you never get a moment of silence, it's hard to get instruction from God. Outside distractions make it difficult to hear. Sometimes after we've finished praising, praying and giving our requests, we jump up and start our day without giving a moment to hear what God has to say. We have a one-sided conversation. When you're trying to determine whether it's God's voice you hear, ask yourself these questions: God is this really you? Is it supported in scripture? Is there any sin involved? Does this make sense i.e.: you wouldn't quit your job to become A chef but you can't cook!! If you ask yourself these questions it will make it a bit easier to determine whether it's God.
